Located here are The Laurent Beaudoin Design and Innovation Centre, the Product Development Centre, our factory that makes Ski-Doo snowmobiles and Can-Am Spyder three-wheel vehicles, and our global headquarters.
Who we hire
Professionals – a wide range of centres of expertise
As Valcourt is one of our biggest sites, we have a wide range of roles here. The entire process of production is represented: from design and engineering, through manufacturing and supply chain. In our Design and Engineering teams, our greatest needs are for digital designers, measurement systems analysts, CAD specialists, motor calibration and instrumentation engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and plastics engineers. We are always looking for people who are interested in a career in purchasing and know how to plan and follow up. We also need logistics and transport engineers, as well as robotics engineers for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
Our manufacturing operations have to be supported by administrative functions. In Valcourt, we are mainly looking for finance professionals, especially analysts, and IT engineers. As our business expands and changes, we are going to need business intelligence specialists and business analysts in many different departments.
We look for people who love what they do and want to make a contribution to our business. Who want to combine the challenge of working for a global organization, with the family-friendliness and easy access to the outdoors that our location offers.
Manufacturing employees – skilled operators and trades
In our Valcourt factory, many of our employees are permanent, but we also hire temporary personnel at peak times. Our greatest need is for skilled tradespeople, certified in your area of expertise. These include welders, painters, electromechanics, electrical technicians, project supervisors, die-makers and machinists. But we also need production supervisors to manage our teams into the future.
We look for people who love what they do and what we do, and who want to make a contribution to our business. They are usually people who like other people, enjoy working in teams, and are flexible and positive, taking change in their stride. We welcome all genders and ages, and people newly arrived in the region from all over the world. (In fact, we have had people from some 50 different countries on our shop floor.)
Students and new graduates – for internships
We welcome students from all academic and geographical areas, who want to earn valuable hands-on experience with us. These next-generation leaders are seen as real teamates in the BRP family. We offer great opportunities to grow depending on your career path.
Why work here
At BRP, we like to think of ourselves as one big family. When you work here, you’re one of us, and we take care of you. A family atmosphere is also one where doors are open, communication is informal, and everyone knows almost everyone else. We like to have fun together, in our immediate teams and as part of a larger group. We feel like we belong.
For professionals, you’ll be surprised how such a large company can have all the advantages of a startup. Everyone here is something of an entrepreneur, an adventurer if you like. We’re not afraid to try. We’re highly adaptable and agile. We are high achievers and go-getters. But we also have great team spirit and help each other out constantly. Because we believe that together, we succeed.
For manufacturing personnel, we have a great work environment in a light, bright, super modern, efficient factory – it’s even been likened to NASA! We have a high regard for health, safety and security, and boast ergonomic, efficient workstations, that are adaptable to your physical type.
We pay competitively, including bonuses, and offer superior health insurance, which extends to your family too. Our vacation allowance is generous – the factory shuts down for three weeks in the summer and a week at the end of the year – and for your wellbeing, we have a recreation club and a wellness centre. We also offer a range of services to make working for us easier: kinesiologists and nurses are present for both shifts, and you can even get your bloodwork done; you can access medical advice remotely, from a doctor; we have childcare for permanent employees.
BRP is rapidly expanding around the world, not just with our products, but with our physical presence. For professionals who want to push out the boundaries of their career, we offer opportunities to grow, to lead and even to change role, coached by your manager. As part of a global company, you’ll broaden your horizons by working with multicultural teams, travelling or changing location, permanently or temporarily.
We’re an innovative company that’s always moving forward, and your ideas and initiatives are part of how we do that. Our industry is dynamic and our employees are too. If you’re looking for a company where change is not feared but embraced, you’ll fit right in.
